We are saints

Hey yo,

Just a good ole classic week here in Tainan with some good plans for this transfer. We and the Elders and Sisters from the Tainan first are planning on organizing some sick activities to get our ward members and their friends to. Apparently, the Taiwanese members love American activities like bobbin’ for apples and stuff, but that’s gross so we’ll come up with some other good stuff.

I love the real push from the Prophet and the leaders of the church to make sure we are properly addressing the church by the name that the Lord has revealed, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! It made me think deeper into why that name was the one revealed to us. I thought about the word "Saint" and apparently it means, “a model of perfection of a kind having no equal.” I love that! In Mosiah 3:19 it says:

19 For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father.

It's through the atonement of Christ and becoming as He is that we become the best Saints we can be. The Gospel is true! Know it, live it, love it!

Love,
Elder Marsh
