I have definitely been a bit bad at writing these emails for the past couple of weeks... So quick recap.
We have three major suburbs in our are: kaikohe, Ōhaeawai, and Awarua. Work is booming in kaikohe, but not much is moving in the others and so the last two weeks we have spent a lot of time finding in those areas. We have found a lot of potentials and hopefully this week will help them all become new people. The biggest thing I have learned is the power of members.
It's tough sometimes to have lessons out here in kaikohe but we took a member around with us one day and because of him we went from one lesson to the next all day. He took us to everyone he knew and hopefully it payed off, we weren't able to see because we weren't at our Sacrament meeting on Sunday.
I also learned a lot about attitude. I met two people this last week. One who I will call Arnold refuses to learn more because he "hasn't found anything to say he should" where we also met someone who learns more and is coming to church because he "hasn't found anything that tells him he shouldn't." heavenly father asks us to experiment, decide for yourself what you think, and then ask with a humble heart realizing you may be right or wrong and finally accept the answer and act. So if you want to know if the book of Mormon is true, read it, if you feel good about it, pray and ask God if it is really true, and he will answer you. I like Moroni 10:3-5 because it really emphasizes it. I love you all, remember who you are.
