Peace and Happiness through God

Not much happened this week. Like many of you we are waiting for quarantine to open up completely. So this week I thought I would share what is now definitely one of my favorite chapters. This is second Nephi, Chapter 4. I am 100% sure that if you need to know how to find peace and pure happiness, this verse explains how. The whole chapter is inspiring, but in the end it reads 34: "O Lord, I have trusted in thee, and I will trust in thee forever. I will not put my trust in the arm of flesh; for I know that cursed is he that putteth his trust in the arm of flesh. Yea, cursed is he that putteth his trust in man or maketh flesh his arm. 35: "Yea, I know that God will give liberally to him that asketh. Yea, my God will give me, if I ask not amiss; therefore I will lift up my voice unto thee; yea, I will cry unto thee, my God, the rock of my righteousness. Behold, my voice shall forever ascend up unto thee, my rock and mine everlasting God. Amen."
I love how it talks about making God our rock. I know that when we make God our rock we can have eternal peace and happiness because his opinion is the only one that really matters in the end and He will always guide us to do what's right. If we follow the guidance in these scriptures and pray and cry to God, we cannot go wrong because He will always guide us righteously.

Love ya'll, Elder Williams
