Prayers Answered

Salama Everyone!
Hope everyone had an amazing week!

Lately we have had some problems come up with the people we have had on bapstismal date. They always had or have a huge desire to get baptized, but as soon as the time came around they either got scared to get baptized again or had a problem keeping one of the commandments. It was heartbreaking to see, but some very spiritual moments came out of most of them. Querot, one of my best friends here in Sabotsy Namehana, was baptized before in a different church (FJKM) and now he is scared to get baptized again in our church. He says he knows it is true and he knows the Book of Mormon is true, but he is still timid. We read a lot of scriptures about getting baptised again and about the Priesthood we even said some prayers with him about his baptism to help him find an answer. All the experiences were so spiritual, but he said he needs more time to think about things. Even though it was a sad thing to hear, I still love hime with all my heart.

Luckily, Fitiavna has her baptismal interview on Saturday and is planning to be baptized the following week! She was struggling to believe that the church is true for a long time. The only reason she came to our church was because her husband was a member. She was actually attending a different church for a very long time. One day she came up to my companion and I and told us that she knew the church was true and we were just shocked because she hadn’t progressed in months. She told us that one day she was sick of going to 2 different churches and she knelt down and prayed about which church was true. She told us she was so overwhelmed with the spirit and flooded with knowledge about the truthfulness of our church. She has come a very long way and it has been so amazing to see.

One crazy experience that happened this week was when a huge rainstorm came through. So the paths all over the city have no drain to go into so when in it rains everything floods. Me and my companion were trying to walk back to the house through the flooded streets when I took a step not knowing there was a metal stud sticking up under the water. The metal stud went through the bottom of my shoe, but somehow bent and went out the side of my shoe. Heavenly father was really looking out for me.

Stay classy San Diego
