Hello all of my fellow children of God! I hope that you are all doing great. This week flew by and I can't believe I'm already writing this again. We started off the week by going to the Libby Dam. We went to the edge of our mission and there was a sign there that said no passing for (the passing lane was closed) but it was perfect so we took a picture right next to it. On Tuesday we went to a house that Elder Shurtleff had seen a while ago and felt like we should go visit. The guys name was Hank. He used to be a member but had a question that no one could answer so he left the church. Well we answered his question and so he changed the subject. He's a baptist now, and when we asked him if he thought the baptist church was true, he laughed and said no. So that was really weird. We just bore our testimonies to him and left because we were late to an appointment. That night we went tracting and it was awful. We found out that day that people have hard hearts and like to close their doors in our faces. It was good experience tho. Thursday was crazy, and this is where my scary story comes in. We found a new person to teach named Philip, and we later found out that he was going through a really rough time. He said a prayer asking God for a sign that he was there, and right after he closed we showed up and talked to him. We saw him on the street and just said hi at first. Then Elder Shurtleff had a strong prompting to stop and go talk to him. So we did and it turned out great. That night was terrifying. We were riding our bikes at 8:30 to visit a members house. We were on a very small dark street when heard some rustling in the bushes next to us. Elder Shurtleff was smart and took off right away, I was not so smart and thought there was a fence between us and whatever was making the noise. NOT THE CASE. Two big hunting dogs came out of nowhere and started chasing us. Now I know how slow I am on foot, but holy cow I biked like a mad man. The dogs were nipping at my feet and I knew I was dead. I was thinking through my mind what I had done that was so bad that I was going to get killed and mauled by two dogs. Then one of them ran and caught up to Elder Shurtleff who was about 30 feet ahead of me. After a few blocks the dogs stopped and let us go. That was one of the scariest things I've ever had happen to me. Saturday we volunteered at the Pets for Life, a pet adoption place, and the dogs there were much nicer. I got scratched up by some cats tho. Just my luck I guess. And yesterday we got to talk in the Troy branch. It was a great experience. We talked about prophets and the role they have in our day. Speaking of prophets conference is coming up in two weeks! I hope you all are as excited for it as I am! It's going to be a great one so make sure to watch it. Also pray to know who you can invite to come watch it with you, it will be a great way to introduce them to the Gospel. I hope you all have a great week! The Church is true:) Love you all!
