hospital round 2

hospital round 2

whats up everyone, not much happened this week other than me going back to the hospital!! but with knowing how quickly word spreads back home you guys probably know the whole story by now! so i will just summarize it.

after getting back from the hospital the first time, i still wasn’t feeling good at all! on tuesday and wednesday of last week I started vomiting blood and bile like crazy. I wasnt sleeping more than two hours every night and I was just straight dyinnnnnn. Anyways the work must continue, so we woke up everyday and just kept working. Unfortunately I continued to throw up blood the rest of that week and was taken back to the hospital on Saturday to get a scope down my throat. pretty rad. They decided to keep me in the hospital to run more tests to find out what was going on.

On sunday they told me that they didn’t find anything other than a little bit of inflammation in my stomach. Then on Monday the doc came in and told me right before discharging me that he “thinks that i have irritable bowel syndrome, and gastritis” and i said "you think?" and then he went on to explain the reasoning, but i am not fully convinced that he found what was wrong so he just sent me on my way with all the medications to help prevent the pain in my stomach. Please pray that this solves the problem. Pretty frustrating but it’s fine ill figure it out and I will get through this.

We are baptizing Ntando this sunday!! he has been waiting for nearly a month now because the construction crew fixing the font have been taking foreva!!! Ntando is such a stud and i cant wait for him to be baptized!!

This upcoming week will be better and more full of appointments (if my stomach cooperates, hahaha).

I know this is a shorter email and you have all been waiting and dying to hear from me:) so i will leave ya with my testimony!

When I came out on mission, I thought my testimony was strong. And it is! but the thing that I have come to realize is that no matter how strong our testimony may be, there is always room to grow and expand our knowledge and testimony. My absolute favorite thing to study in this gospel is the Atonement of Jesus Christ. The Atonement is the most fascinating and life changing topic to study because I do not believe that it is possible for any of us to fully appreciate and understand it. I know that Heavenly Father chose his son Jesus Christ to come and to be the last sacrifice. Because of this, we can live again. Because he lives, we will live again. All of this can be done, because of him. Over the last three transfers of my mission I have had my fair share of trials, and I have had to learn to rely on the Atonement of Jesus Christ to help me get through these challenges. When we are faced with challenges, we need to remember Christ. He didn't want to perform the Atonement. Sure he wanted to save us, but he did not want to go through the sufferings. He asked His father in heaven if there wasn't another way for it to be done, but this was the
Fathers will. Luke 22: 42 "Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine be done". When we understand that the trials we are facing are from our father in heaven, and we trust in him, by exercising faith in him, repenting,
being baptized, receiving the gift of the holy ghost, and enduring to the end, he will strengthen us and he will carry us through our trials. v. 23 and 24 "And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground." In this upcoming Christmas season, Remember Him.
Remember what He did for YOU. Remember that He lives, that He walks with you everyday, He supports you, He is there for you, He will carry you, He will protect you. Remember that through Him, true and
everlasting happiness can be obtained.

Matthew 11:28-30 "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

I love you guys back home, no matter what you are doing, where you are, or who you are, I love you guys and miss you like crazy!! Be safe and be happy!
