hahahaha hey everyone, if you haven't heard about my past week yet,
you're about to hear the full story...
so a week ago today, last Monday, we were doing the exact same thing that we do every Monday, which is our P-day, we wake up, shop, email and call home, and then we go to a FHE. and that's exactly what we did last time we got robbed!! so after family home evening,
sister Kapande takes us home and we go into our boarding and start making dinner and listening to our church music and just start to get ready for bed. But, before going to bed, elder Rangwanasha says, "i think we should try setting the alarm from the inside
tonight. We have never been able to set the alarm while we are sleeping so i just said "we have tried that for the last 4 weeks and it hasn't worked". Well he starts trying to set the alarm and still couldn't set it from the inside for while we are sleeping--crazy i know. So....we went to bed and i slept perfectly (just like i did the first time we got robbed)!! So i wake up the next morning, exercise (so i don't get fat:), and then i went to move my laundry from the washer to the living room, where our clothes finish
drying out on the clothes rack and as i do that, i walk into the living room with my my clothes in my hands and see that 1), the clothes rack is moved away from the window. 2), there is dry wall and brick and glass pieces and shatterings on the floor, and then 3), the window is shattered and wide open!!! I just dropped my clothes onto the floor and yelled to elder Rangwanasha and he just runs in and was like, "shame". so then we immediately start running around the house seeing all the stuff that is missing.
the first time that we got robbed, all of elder Rangwanasha stuff got stolen, this time, all my stuff got stolen... I lost my camera, and my back back and things out of my desk and a lot of other personal things. They even took my snacks (my wafers)! I was
honestly more mad that they stole my snacks from my desk than i was that they stole my camera! they stole my waffers! (if you know you). Then they stole my shoulder bag which was right next to my head when i sleep cause it has my paper work and important
stuff inside of it, so this time that they robbed us, they came inside our room and were walking around and stealing all of our stuff. Another thing that really upset me was they took all my coins from my coin jar but left the jar. They took our 4 gallons
of milk from our Fridge as well. So after everything settled down and we had called president lines and told him all that had happened, we decided to not tell our landlord cause he is just a joke, and he is always drunk and has no idea whats going on. so we
went straight to the police and they came and walked around looked at everything and asked if we wanted to open a case, in which we tried to but we had to have the landlords approval, which we tried to get but the landlord said no. so now we think that the
landlord has something to do with the robbery. After that all happened we called this member who we were supposed to be going to meet at the chapel that day and asked if we could come over earlier to see him. Side note, It also happened to be heritage day
that day, the day that they celebrate the tribe that they come from, so everyone was walking around in their zulu cothing, or they were naked, or wearing the type of clothing that represents their tribe. It was super funny and way cool. anyways we get to
the chapel and meet our member friend, and the rest of the people in the ward were at the chapel having this party, (celebrating Heritage day). We told him about being robbed again, so he and the bishop and the first councilor dropped everything they were
doing and drove us to our house and as we drove up, the landlord and some other man were there, they were pretty nervous to see us, so our Bishop started confronting and getting pretty mad at the landlord about all that had happened, it was sick. Then president called us and said that he is evacuating us to Kwadabeka
until he could find safer boarding for us to live. But we got to stay with these two funny elders, and did 3 straight full days of tracting. President sent a senior missionary couple and some more Elders to help us get moved in to a new apartment that is gated with a security guard. So, we are back and better than ever in our area, the only problem is that our boarding is so small now but its safer and closer to the chapel. Pretty fun times. It was a miracle that we SLEPT through another robbery! divine
intervention, the Lord was watching out for us.
funny story: Like I said, this past week was heritage week and it starts on heritage day (Tuesday) and ends on the following Tuesday (tomorrow) anyways, EVERYONE is just black out drunk for 7 days so we have just been having the funnest time messing with the
drunk people. anyways, we were walking to an appointment and we take the same road every time we go to this members house and we always walk past the same house that is just full of drunk people. anyways when we were walking past the house, there was this
guy in the back of the house peeing, (everyone just pees everywhere here) and right after he finished peeing, he bent over and threw up so much, for like 2 minutes, and we were just watching from a distance hahaha. but right after he gets done throwing up,
he stands back upright and just does a double fist pump into the air and screams "i am a dragon!!" then he walked back into the house, i was laughing so hard hahaha.
spiritual thought: Moroni 7: 45-48
45)And charity suffereth long, and is kind, and envieth not, and is not puffed up, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil, and rejoiceth not in iniquity but rejoiceth in the truth, beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all
things, endureth all things. 46) Wherefore, my beloved brethren, if ye have not charity, ye are nothing, for charity never faileth. Wherefore, cleave unto charity, which is the greatest of all, for all things must fail— 47) But charity is the pure love of
Christ, and it endureth forever; and whosoever is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him. 48) Wherefore, my beloved brethren, pray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled with this love, which he hath
bestowed upon all who are true followers of his Son, Jesus Christ; that ye may become the sons of God; that when he shall appear we shall
be like him, for we shall see him as he is; that we may have this hope; that we may be purified even as he is pure. Amen. These couple of verses are POWERFUL. without charity we are nothing. but whenever i read powerful scriptures i like to try and change
them to see how they can apply to what i am facing at that moment. so this past week i have really learned the true power of love and what just loving people can do for you and for them. So, now, go back and reread these verses but every time the word "charity"
appears, replace it with "Love".
I LOVE you guys back home and hope the best for all of you!! Keep
smiling and have an awesome day!~
these are the only pictures i have:
