Life is going well. Southern/east coast is awesome. The people are great. If you can come out to this neck of the woods you should.
Well if you don't think that God is real, listen. If you don't think God answers prayers, listen. If you think you have been forgotten, listen. Danny, the man who like legit is one of my favorites, he reminds me of my awesome Uncle Bill and if you know the relationship with Bill and I, then that's what is it like with Danny. He went to Cancun for a week and had a great time but he came back and went straight to the hospital because he couldn't breath and had a severe loss of energy. The doctors looked at him and said that there was a lot of blood in his stomach and they really needed to find out what was going on. He called us but didn’t want anyone else to know that he was in the hospital because he wanted to be the tough guy lol! We gave him a blessing and the next day they looked at him and said that they couldn’t see anything wrong with his stomach and there was no more bleeding. You can't tell me God isn't real, you can't tell me God doesn't answer our prayers. Sometimes they aren't that fast or they might not be the answer that we want, but God knows.
We had 3 people at sacrament today so that was great! One of our investigators that has been doing good needs to quit smoking so that will be awesome when she can do that. Please pray for her! She is already solid in the gospel but she needs to quit the habit! Our recent converts, the Garcia family, are doing great they are working on getting temple recommends and Brandon is working on getting the priesthood.
We were going to the Preacher’s house that I talked about a couple weeks ago to follow up with him and got a little lost. We found his address the good old fashion way, the white pages! The address took us down this dirt road that went on for miles but unfortunately there was no home in sight, we got some pretty cool pictures at least!
We had transfers this week I am still with Elder Johnson. He said, “Elder Newby, I want to call you a friend.” It was cool, we get along so good and have the best time together. He has taught me a lot. He told me something that has stuck with me for a while now. I said, “Hey how was Albemarle?” he responded, “All I see are houses and people.” I've thought about that a lot, I always need to be happy where ever I am and to all of the other missionaries out there remember if there are houses and people that’s all we need! It made me think for a little and I need to do better because I would’ve never said that or thought of that, but it's so true. Hope things are going good back home and I love you all, God bless
