Hey,
This week was a pretty interesting one here in TKO. This week I almost spent more time out of my area than in it. I had the opportunity to go on two separate exchanges one to Po Lam and one to Kwun Tong.
Exchanges are always pretty neat because you get to try out a new area for a day and you don't have very much responsibility. It is always a good learning experience though the Lord puts us in different situations to help us to learn and to grow closer to him. I was lucky enough to work with a missionary who is brand new and one a bit older than me so it was fun.
I was thinking that sometimes it's hard because you feel like you need to be doing more and you forgot to do one thing or the other. We are all inadequate to do the Lord's work but he helps us become better because it is his work. 2 Nephi 32:9 says: “But behold, I say unto you that ye must pray always, and not faint; that ye must not perform any thing unto the Lord save in the first place ye shall pray unto the Father in the name of Christ, that he will consecrate thy performance unto thee, that thy performance may be for the welfare of thy soul.”
So as we rely on Him he will help us.
Also this week our investigator sister Lai was confirmed it was awesome. We were afraid we would have to wait even longer because another typhoon was coming in this week and supposed to make landfall this Sunday, but luckily we were spared and it moved in a different direction. It's crazy the amount of rain they get here I didn't know it could rain so much in a day.
Anyway hope y'all have a good week and refer your friends, neighbors, family, or enemies to the missionaries; it'll make their day! Ga yau!
Sincerely,
Elder Ashton
Fun fact 1: Elder Ashton told us that he is feeling well, and that while he may have dropped a couple of pounds he attributes that to not eating sugar cereal every day. Haha!
Fun fact 2: Elder Ashton wrote during a T3 (Typhoon level 3 out of 10) storm, and said it is impressive how much it rains there this time of year.
Pictures attached. Also, some video of Typhoon Hato as captured by Elder Ashton from his apartment can be found here:

He says: They don't really capture the magnitude of the winds though. Shortly after this several of the antennae on the top of the building snapped off.
