The Three T's: Temple, Typhoon, and TRANSFERS!!!!!

Hey,
This week has been a crazy week here in TKO as you can probably tell by the title.
First off, I am staying in TKO, but my "love"ly companion Elder Love will be moving to the office to finish off his mission as the assistant for the China Hong Kong mission. It's going to be sad seeing my trainer leave but now that I am fully trained I am ready to flap my missionary wings and fly.
My new companion Elder Stansfield is coming in from serving in Tsing Yi on the other side of the mission but I'll tell you more about him next week because all I know about him now is that he is from the salty suburbs of Salt Lake City.
Also, we had a Level 8 typhoon signal raised this Sunday so church was canceled, we survived though. The typhoon missed Hong Kong so we just got some light rain. It was pretty annoying though because we were going to have a bunch of new people at church. It'll be fine though because there is always next week.
Also the temple was awesome as usual because it is the house of the Lord. The spirit and peace that reside there are amazing it is truly a heaven on earth. If you haven't been in a while I would seriously recommend it.
While I was in the temple I was reading D&C 130 and the first 2 verses really stuck out.
1 When the Savior shall appear we shall see him as he is. We shall see that he is a man like ourselves.
2 And that same sociality which exists among us here will exist among us there, only it will be coupled with eternal glory, which glory we do not now enjoy.
I really am so grateful for all of the simple and restored truths like this so plainly made manifest through modern prophets. I don't have a ton of time so hope you all have a great week!
Sincerely,
Elder Ashton
Fun fact 1: Elder Ashton is excited that his sister has been set apart as a missionary and she heads out tomorrow-he felt the last transfer went really fast.
Fun fact 2: He says he will miss his first companion when they change this week, but he says his new companion has been out for about a year-so he thinks they’ll do fine.
