Hey Y'all

July 10, 2017

Hey,

This week has been a good one here in TKO. This week I got to do exchanges twice because my companion is the zone leader. It was pretty fun though; for both of the exchanges we stayed in TKO so it was interesting. I only got us lost once and it was just because we got off at the wrong train station. No worries though I found my way to where we were going fairly quickly. Anyway, it was fairly interesting being the most teaching with some other companions for a while.

Also, we had interviews with President Lam this week which went pretty well. While I was waiting, Sister Lam pretty much only spoke in Cantonese but I can tell that I have improved a lot since arriving in Hong Kong. I guess she told Elder Love that I am doing alright with my language right now. I still have a looooong way to go though and I'll need to improve really fast because half of the mission is leaving soon and everyone will be training in the next few transfers. It will be good though.

Recently we've been committing some of our investigators to read 4 pages of the Book of Mormon a day and find a verse every day that they can apply to their lives, so far it's been going really well. I think it is helping them understand and apply the book really well.

Time is short today so I won't bore you with too much info, but hope you all have a great week.

Sincerely,
Elder Ashton

Fun fact 1: After receiving the pictures last week with no captions, Elder Ashton clarified that the giant spider was at the church; the bridge and the Bruce Lee photos were in a part of the city called Sha Tin.

Fun fact 2: Even though he misses our cooler mountain air, he reports that he loves it in Hong Kong and his area Tseung Kwan O.

He forgot his camera card so no pics, but you can always go enjoy the spider pic from last week!

If you would like to send him regular mail:

Thank you for your prayers and support!
