This week was another busy one here in Hong Kong but a fantastic one. I love Hong Kong and all of the people who live here. I apologize that I didn't email last week because I got to Skype the family. It is such blessing to have families, they are divinely appointed by God and a fantastic way for us to be happy.
These past few weeks have been crazy, we've been blessed with such a wonderful and willing ward and an amazing amount of success. We currently have three people on date to be baptized and I am being blessed so much to see them progress.
Today we will have mission conference with Elder Cook which should be awesome, more on that next week. But it is so great to have modern revelation to guide us in the latter days.
I feel like every time we meet people who have studied the teachings of Christ and the bible without the aid of modern revelation, they usually end up confused. But with modern prophets, it is super easy to know what we need to do. That's all for this week from me, hope you all have a wonderful week!
Sincerely,
Elder Ashton
Fun fact 1: Elder Ashton, when asked my mom about his experience on Trek (our stake is doing a pioneer Trek in June) said: Trek was a great experience for me probably because I put some effort into trying to learn and be taught by the spirit. I think you get as much from trek that you are willing to receive. If you go with the attitude of being ready to learn then it will be great, if you go expecting it to be boring and stuff that's what you'll get. It is like pres Hinckley's talk "Attitude of Gratitude". Our attitude will determine what we get from life. (Mom could not be more pleased with this response! Words of wisdom!!)
Fun fact 2: Elder Ashton reports that while missions are stressful and exhausting the reward and blessings make it so worthwhile!
