This week was another fantastic one here in Hong Kong, lot's of neat stuff happening these days. This week was a pretty good one full of finding, teaching and meetings.
I think this week was one of the most expensive travel wise of my entire mission. We had the correlation with the stake president and stake conference all on different days. So we spent half of the week traveling to and from the stake center.
Things are going well though, this week stake conference was really great and it was cool to look out at the stake that I've spent so much time in. I've spent most of my time here in Kowloon East Stake and served in 4 of the 5 units. It was great to look out and see the multitude of wonderful members that I have gotten to know here over the past 2 years, they are all amazing! During the adult session Bishop Yau from Kwun Tong ward shared a nice talk about ministering, but at the end, he was expressing his gratitude for the support he has had since he became bishop and he spent a lot of time thanking his Mom! Moms are great; they always support us whether we are kids or even the Bishop and we have our own family! Thanks Mom!
Anyway, hope y'all have a great week! Thank your mom for something, and Merry Christmas!
Sincerely,
Elder Ashton
Fun fact 1: He got to see some of the recent converts he helped bring into the church at Stake Conference.
Fun fact 2: He said that one of the things they had at Thanksgiving was spaghetti with Philippine style sauce, courtesy of a missionary from the Philippines. Pretty cool!
Fun fact 3: He said he bought a new suit and some shirts. He likes nice clothes and they're affordable there.
