This week was another great week here in Hong Kong. This week I transferred to my new area and things have been going great. My new companion, Elder Rodriguez, is super cool and the area seems pretty good so far.
There hasn't been too much that has happened from my email last Wednesday, but things are going well. Finding seems to be pretty good here and I already know a few of the members from stake activities in the past.
Also, I had sushi for the first time in over a year and a half today, it was so good!
In some of my free time I've been reading from 'The Church History in the Fullness of Times Manual', and it has been really interesting to see how some of the early church members acted in faith during the many trials they faced. It has been inspiring to see how people who had been converts of only a few months or years went out and preached the gospel with power, or some people went and settled new places and dropped everything to get there. It has really made me think a lot about how blessed I have been in my life. It is such a blessing to have years of being taught Gospel truths and have family to help you learn and grow.
In a talk that I was reading by Neal A. Maxwell he said "So many honorable individuals in the world do so much without what we, as members, call gospel fullness, while some of us, unfortunately, do so little with so much!" It is amazing how much knowledge the Lord has blessed us with and it is our job to act on that knowledge and share it so that we can help all of God's children find peace and happiness!
Anyway, hope that y'all have a great week!
Fun fact 1: He said the new apartment is larger and houses 6 missionaries. But also it is above a street market and there are roaches. Bleh. He was heading out to find poison.
Fun fact 2: One of his former companions, Elder Liu, is also housed in the same apartment with him.
Fun fact 3: He seems to get along with the new companion just fine. I guess he's been out a lot longer than most of his other ones (except his trainer). I think they are one transfer apart in 'age' on the mission.
