Kowloon City

Elder Madsen

So this week like all of the rest of them, has been fantastic. Also, if you can tell by the subject line, it was also transfers.

Big news!!!... I'm staying in my area.... but my companion is moving away to the far away land of the New Territories and my new companion is coming in from the Island.

Also, I have been freed from being the District leader and am now Zone leader over the Kowloon East Zone. So it should be an interesting transfer.

As far as missionary work goes right now it's pretty normal here. We've been doing a lot of finding and teaching, so things are great. This week in Sunday School we had a lesson and one thing that stuck out was a scripture in the Doctrine and Covenants section 78:18.

"And ye cannot bear all things now; nevertheless, be of good cheer, for I will lead you along. The kingdom is yours and the blessings thereof are yours, and the riches of eternity are yours."

Sunday I was kind of getting a little down because we have been doing a lot of work but we didn't have anybody at church so I was kinda beating myself up. Then the teacher shared this verse and it kinda helped remind me that numbers aren't everything and that the Lord is most concerned about the fact that we are doing our best and trying to improve.

Anyway, hope y'all have a great week! 加油!

Elder Ashton

Fun fact 1: He says that the area he is in is pretty tough to find people to teach.

Fun fact 2: He sent a shout out to his cousin Cooper who is heading out to serve in Salta, Argentina.

Fun fact 3: Last week when he shared pictures from the cave-he didn't actually know that he was exploring a pirate's hidden treasure cave. He also said that they took a boat to get there and he only got 'a little' sea sick.
