Baptism and Transfers... Oh and Happy Mother's Day!

Hey everyone,

This week was a really fantastic week here in Sheung Shui; lots of amazing things going on these days. First off our investigator Tsang To Ming was baptized and confirmed this week. It has been so amazing to be able to work with him and see how the Gospel has changed his life. He first met missionaries like 20-30 years ago but back then he felt that he didn't need the Gospel. But after some things happened in his life and some sicknesses he was finally prepared to accept the Gospel. It was really neat to see how he realized that even though he's struggled with illness and that has been a trial, the illness helped to humble him enough to receive the Gospel.

Also this week we got transfer calls and, surprisingly enough, I'll be moving to Kowloon City ward. I'll be back in my first zone again! It should be pretty good and I actually know my new companion this time. It'll be sad to leave Sheung Shui but I'm excited for a new adventure!

Oh also, I'll now be moving to one of the most densely populated areas in the world so that should be pretty cool! Anyway, happy mothers day and, as always, don't forget to add oil!

Elder Ashton

Fun fact 1: Elder Ashton was able to Skype home for an hour on Mother's Day. He was all smiles and kept forgetting words in English.

Fun fact 2: He bought a Smartphone last week and they should have got it back from the mission office Monday. So he can start using it as a tool with more powers than a flip phone. Plus he can take pictures and stuff with it.

Fun fact 3: The ward in Sheung Shui was very busy over the weekend. They had activities for Primary, the Relief Society and the youth, as well as a baptism.

Fun fact 4: He and his companion Elder Finch sang at the baptism and at the Relief Society activity.
