This week was a fantastic one here in Sheung Shui. We've seen a lot of good things happen these past few days and we had Elder Stevenson visit us which was awesome. Oh and I turned 21 today so even cooler.
Elder Stevenson's visit was awesome, it's always super cool to be trained by an apostle of the Lord. He talked a lot about our calling as missionaries and how to help our investigators progress and remain active members after their baptism. One thing that he pointed out that us missionaries forget to do sometimes was promising blessings. He pulled out the scriptures and had one of the missionaries read a verse without reading the blessings promised by the Lord, it was really quite interesting to see how many blessings the Lord promises us in his scriptures.
Also Bishop Causse talked about how because of our baptism any invitation from the Lord becomes a commandment, He also talked about how he was assigned to speak to us but how happy he was because he knew he was on the Lords errand. It was great!
As far as the area is going, Sheung Shui is doing great! We've been out finding almost every day and it's been really cool to see how the Lord puts people in our paths. We've been seeing a lot of miracles with the area It's fantastic! Anyways hope Y'all have a great week!加油!
Sincerely,
Elder Ashton
Fun fact 1: Most of the attached pictures are from his birthday excursion to Ocean Park. He said it's usually full of mainlanders, but today it was full of Russians!
Fun fact 2: It sounds like they're not only working hard, but making some good progress in his district. He said that "Missionary work is incredibly hard but it's great!"
Fun fact 3: He's been out exactly 14 months, and a year ago he was flying to Hong Kong!
