This week has been great here in TKO, but this era is coming to an end. We got transfer calls today and I'll be moving to the land of my father's birth (my trainer's first area) Sheung Shui. It should be really cool. I will be moving to the area that is practically on the border of Hong Kong and mainland China.
Also I found out my new companion Elder Dudfield is from Australia so I can start learning Australian as well. It's kind of bittersweet because I love the TKO area and the people there but I'm excited for a change of scenery, It'll be interesting to see the differences in the areas. I'll also be District leader up there so I still will be busy planning district meetings and doing exchanges.
It's kinda funny too because this week we are moving the TKO apartment to Po Lam, so I'll get to live in a bigger apartment in TKO for 1 day then I'll leave to an even smaller apartment.
This week was great though! We had interviews with President Lam which, as always, were great, and I went on exchanges to Po Lam and did some less active finding out in the small villages near Sai Kung. We only ran into 2 gigantic scary dogs, but luckily there was a fence there to protect us.
Also this week I've been reading the Book of Mormon and taking a lot of time to find the doctrines it contains. It is amazing how many powerful teachings are in that book. It's great! Read it! Anyway, I hope you have a good week! Add Oil!
Sincerely,
Elder Ashton
Fun fact 1: Elder Ashton mentioned that the new area he is going to is one stop away from mainland so he has to be careful to get off the train at the right stop!
Fun fact 2: He is going to miss TKO as he's been there for 9 months, but he says he can go back to attend some upcoming baptisms so he's glad about that.
