IT'S FREEZING! Also Merry Christmas!

Hey,

This week has been another amazing week here in TKO. We met with some of our friends had zone conference and a party for kids English class! So in the vernacular of the Lego movie "Everything is awesome."

Also the weather has cooled down quite a bit, yesterday was about 12 degrees Celsius so about Mid 50's Fahrenheit. Back in my pre-Hong Kong days that was shorts weather, but apparently I adjusted to the HK summer so it's now freezing cold❄.

At zone conference we talked about obedience which was great one thing I found that I really liked was from Matthew 4 verses 18-22 as Christ calls his apostles. It says "And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. And they straightway left their nets, and followed him. And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them. And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him."

I love how as the Lord invites them to act they literally drop everything and follow Him. Sometimes we are prompted to help someone or to act and we are so focused on other things that we ignore the prompting or put it off, and sometimes when we do that our window of opportunity passes. So we need to do our best as disciples of Christ to "Immediately" follow him when the call comes.

Also this week we had a party at kids English class that was great! We got to make some famous Ashton sugar cookies and let the kids decorate them. It was great! Also, it might of been some of their first time trying real live sugar cookies American style[?]!!!

Also Christmas is this next week so Merry Christmas! 🎄
Hope Y'all have a great week! Add Oil!

Sincerely,
Elder Ashton

Fun fact 1: Elder Ashton gets to Skype home and it should be Christmas Eve in the evening. I think Ashtons on both sides of the Pacific are excited about that.

Fun fact 2: Not positive, but it looks an awful lot like they all really liked the cookies. And the frosting.

You can email Elder Ashton at joel.ashton@myldsmail.net

If you would like to send him regular mail/Christmas cards:
