Hello,
This week, like pretty much every other week, has been a good one. This week was kinda slow for us, a lot of people were too busy to meet this week, but it was a good one nonetheless.
We went finding the other day and we found a new part of our area that I didn't know existed. We were walking around and found a pretty big waterfront park that was teeming with people. It's kinda crazy how you can walk around your area for so long and then find a cool park full of people.
Anyway, this week we got some of the most precious gifts that you can give a missionary, the elusive member referral. It was amazing! Lately I've been really working on asking everyone for referrals like it says to do in ‘Preach my Gospel’, and praying like mad to find new people to teach. Then suddenly, like the dew distilling from heaven, we had referrals. It's cool to see how as you put forth some effort and do your part the Lord blesses you. It's great!
I'm so glad I've been in TKO for so long. They are like my Chinese family now. I hope that you all can find an opportunity to share the Gospel with some friends. The message of the church is so precious and wonderful!

Fun fact 1: Elder Ashton reports he and his new companion are doing well thus far.
Fun fact 2: Elder Ashton’s dad happens to get to go to China in November, so he’ll get a care package hand delivered (to the mission home anyway!), so we asked him what he would like us to send. His answer: stick deodorant. I guess it’s hard to come by. Who knew right!?
Fun fact 3: Pretty sure the special effects in the photos come on someone else’s camera but they’re still pretty cool.
