Transfer week

Hello friends and family it's been another great week. We got transfer calls this week and.... Me and Elder Cowles will both be staying here another 6 weeks. Guess it's time for me to see what I can do here. Nothing too much exciting happened this week.
Every week we teach a recent convert and his husband Tyler whose been looking into the church. He's read the Book of Mormon and loved it and said he wants to read the Doctrine and Covenants before he decides to be baptized or not so we can learn more. He's already on Section 43 and is enjoying it. I've loved the progress he's made and how much he's grown since he's to come closer to god.
Some how the weather got up to 55 degrees on Saturday and was raining. I then realized why that's never a good sign in January. Over night we had an ice storm so they ended up canceling church... Since the ice storm of 98' (everyone talks about it here) whenever there is any sign of ice people make it out to be much worst than it actually is. Roads weren't too bad even though everyone keeps saying how bad it's going to be.
Something I've tried to focus on here is strengthen those less actives and who are struggling. We haven't got many at church so I've began to put a lot of focus on getting some of those families back to church.
Spiritual thought
A quote from Elder Uchdorf this last general conference
" If you hesitate in this adventure because you doubt your ability, remember that discipleship is not about doing things perfectly; it’s about doing things intentionally. It is your choices that show what you truly are, far more than your abilities.
Even when you fail, you can choose not to give up, but rather discover your courage, press forward, and rise up. That is the great test of the journey."
I love this because it shows that all God ask of us is our best. The sacrifice you give will always be of greater worth to our father in heaven than the results. You only fail once you quit trying, even if we do not see progress there will always be growth and experience gained along the journey we are each on.
Love you all so much thanks for the emails have a great week!
Here's a Pic of us tracting at night, I'll have more pics next week with zone Conf!
