Thanksgiving

What's up everyone!!
Hope each of you had a great Thanksgiving and focused and what to be grateful for.
Tuesday started with a long drive fur Syracuse to pick up my new companion Elder Cowles. While I waited for him to show up I got to visit with my MTC companion Elder Larsen which was pretty sweet. My new companion is from the city of Bountiful Utah and has been on his mission for 17 months now.
Thanksgiving day was probably my favorite I've ever had so far. Definitely one for the books. We spent a lot of the day serving food at the Catholic school. We got to meet some awesome people, which I loved visiting with once it died down. We had a couple appointments, then we had dinner at the branch president's house which was far better than anything I could make. There was so much to be grateful for.
One of the tender mercies I felt today from the lord was seeing that one of the people we found in Rochester got baptized this past week. It's amazing how much we can do for people even when we don't see the fruits of what we do until later.

Spiritual thought:
I was listening to one of my favorite conference talks this week by Elder Holland called "A High Priest of Good Things to Come". My favorite quote from it is "Some blessings come soon, some come late, and some don’t come until heaven; but for those who embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ, they come." I love this because so many people get caught thinking about everything going wrong in their life and don't realize one of the most repeated phrases in scripture - and it came to"pass". Whoever is reading this, know that whatever you are going through right now will not last forever. You have a Savior who is aware of your every need, so never think you are alone, EVER.
Sorry a bit short this week I'll try to do more next time. Love you all thanks for the emails!
