Hey everyone! This week was absolutely awesome because we were able to work super hard in the devastating heat down here in Rio Negro!
1. This week me and my companion have been doing a lot of practices in the mornings for the lessons that we always teach because he feels really nervous to be teaching in the language in Spanish. I really felt what he is feeling because I used to be in the same position he was in. But he keeps progressing in his Spanish and his confidence.
2. We have continued to work with the people we have been teaching like Benjamin Aros, Paulina, Elsa, etc. But we are praying that we can find families this week. If you could all pray so that we can find a new family to teach it would be a huge blessing.
3. This week in our studies I was able to read in Alma 44 - 49 and in Alma 46 : 19-21
19 And when Moroni had said these words, he went forth among the people, waving the rent part of his garment in the air, that all might see the writing which he had written upon the rent part, and crying with a loud voice, saying:
20 Behold, whosoever will maintain this title upon the land, let them come forth in the strength of the Lord, and enter into a covenant that they will maintain their rights, and their religion, that the Lord God may bless them.
21 And it came to pass that when Moroni had proclaimed these words, behold, the people came running together with their armor girded about their loins, rending their garments in token, or as a covenant, that they would not forsake the Lord their God; or, in other words, if they should transgress the commandments of God, or fall into transgression, and be ashamed to take upon them the name of Christ, the Lord should rend them even as they had rent their garments.
I truly know that the Lord needs us on his side and expects us to go running to proclaim his gospel. I truly know I am here for a reason and we all should remind ourselves what is most important. And how we can keep receiving what we need and more! I love you all and hope you have a wonderful week. Chao Hasta semana!
