Hello everybody! This week was actually pretty great. Especially because we were able to hear from 2 Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This Sunday we had a Multi Stake Conference for all of Chile. We were able to hear from President Oaks and Elder Christofferson. They were talking to us in preparation for the dedication of the temple in Concepción. They gave some wonderful talks. Elder Christofferson mainly talked about how the most important things that the families of Chile (but it applies to everyone) can do are 1. Daily Scripture Study together 2. Daily Family prayers (even better if they are kneeling prayers) and 3. Family Home Evenings weekly. I can bare testimony that I know that if we are doing these these things as he promised, "we will be able to bare the tribulations that will come upon our families." Also I loved the hymn that we sang, as mentioned in the title. Other than that we were able to have in one of our wards an activity this week a capilla abierta (open house) where we gave tours of the church to people from the street and it was way good. Also today we played a bit of Futból in the rain. Which was dope!
This week during my studies I was able to first read the first half of 1 Nephi and in Chapter 11 verses 16 and 17:
16 And he said unto me: Knowest thou the condescension of God?
17 And I said unto him: I know that he loveth his children; nevertheless, I do not know the meaning of all things.
One of the most important things that we can learn from this is that even one of the biggest characters from the Book of Mormon, Nephi , didn't know everything. But
he knew with a surety that God is his loving Heavenly Father.
I also have this same testimony, that God is our Father. But that I don't know everything. But I do know that I can know all that God wants me to know if I am always worthy to receive the revelation that he has prepared for me. I love you all and hope that you all can receive the wonderful blessings that are promised to all of us. I love you all so much. CHOW HASTA SEMANA
