Elder Avilés!

Buenas Tardes Compadres

Hey y'all this week was super rad! My wounds healed pretty well, and it didn't rain too much either so 10/10 in my book. Really though, this week was Supreme because we were able to head out to one of the pueblitos in our sector called Collico (where there are the photos of the river.) Also this week we were able to have quite a few citas (appointments), so our time was really occupied hurrying to each one throughout the week. Also at the end of the week, we were able to have Exchanges with the Zone leaders Elder Peña and Elder Berry. (sorry forgot to snap a pic). I was able to be with my former companion Elder Peña. We were able to do lots of contacts with him. In the light rain, we ran into a lot of people that were actually really excited to meet with us during this next week.

During my studies this week, I really focused on baptism and following the spirit. I also finished reading the Book of Mormon for the 3rd time on my mission and am so excited to start again. The great importance about studying baptism is not just for missionaries or for people preparing to be baptized. If you have been baptized you have made a covenant with God that you are willing to follow the example that Christ gave. And He was perfect, so we've got a lot of work to do. Seriously though, love you all and I am so grateful for the blessing to be en la Obra del Señor! (in the work of the Lord). Keep smiling and have an awesome week. CHOW HASTA SEMANA!
