Elder Love

Lots of Moving and a little Spanish...

We helped multiple families move this week. First was the Ravneng family, helping them move to a new apartment. Sister Ravneng was super concerned with us not hurting our backs, so she had a trolley she wanted us to use, but eventually she gave in when we just started carrying the boxes. They weren't packed heavy, so it was a breeze, but I just loved how concerned she was.📦
The other family we helped moved was the Bakkland family. They had quite a lot of stuff and we ended up helping with 2 loads of the moving truck, one friday evening and one saturday morning. One of the things I was most impressed with was the amount of golf clubs they had. I saw at least 4 bags of clubs so I'm guessing they golf at least a little bit. 🏌
And now the Spanish, on Sunday we had dinner with the

Solorzano family. They are a Hispanic family who is awesome, but communication... not so awesome. They speak no English and only a little bit of Norwegian, so we ended up doing lots of pointing and sticking to very basic questions. I did try to use what little Spanish I learned years ago which mostly amounted to pointing to food and being able to say it in Spanish. We brought along a Spanish Book of Mormon to share the thought from that, so I can say now that I've shared something about the gospel in Spanish! Their one daughter is able to speak basically fluent Norwegian, and spent the majority of dinner telling my Companion to go get a girlfriend. She is only 7, but I thought it was hilarious.
We also visited the Dahlgren Family, they are a less active family who live about a half hour drive from us. They have a daughter who is 8 who is unbaptized, so we will begin to teach the lessons to her and her family.
We also are hearing a lot about the Olympics. Apparently Norway is doing exceptionally well. There is no emoji for the Norwegian flag, so I guess that will have to do! 😊Spiritual Thought: This week I just thought to share a little of my testimony about God.
9 Believe in God; believe that he is, and that he created all things, both in heaven and in earth; believe that he has all wisdom, and all power, both in heaven and in earth; believe that man doth not comprehend all the things which the Lord can comprehend.
36 Behold, the Lord hath created the earth that it should be inhabited; and he hath created his children that they should possess it.16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
I find it deeply humbling to know that our Heavenly Father loves us more than we are capable of comprehending in spite of all our flaws. God really Exists. He is our Loving Heavenly Father. And he wants us to return to live with him. These are facts of life, and I am incredibility touched by the fact that I am trusted with the job of proclaiming that truth.

Don't quite know how to end this email.... so have a monkey! 🐒Picture: Sledding! I finally got the picture. My companion and I didn't know it would be half the zone, but that just made it an even greater day.--
