Hey Family and Friends,
I have a new comp his name is Elder Hartley. He is straight out of the MTC!! He is already a baller! Just a grinder. He is already great with the language. We are gunna have a blast this transfer!!
We celebrated Victory Day, the biggest holiday in Russia! Victory Day is a celebration of when Russia won WW2!!! Ya, Russia won the war. We were lucky enough to spend it in Stalingrad! It was so fun! We got to see some tanks and guns so it was pretty cool.
We had district conference this week! In Russia district conference is a very special event. On Saturday we had a 6 hour meeting for the leaders. I was President Ottesens translater which just made everything even more crazy. For the Saturday session the male leaders gathered together and read Handbook 1 -ya that's right, HANDBOOK 1! They made a quiz on it with questions like "What do you do if someone has committed this sin or that sin?" I was laughing the whole time! President was like why are we reading this outloud?? So I have some handbook 1 experience now!
