Huzzit fam! hope you all had a nice week. This past week we were on Vanua Levu for zone conference and it was a lot of fun. Wednesday morning we caught the little ferry from Taveuni to vanua levu and it was a little over 2 hours then we jumped on the bus and rode for another 3 hours to Savusavu. We had some time so our district walked around the town, ate some lunch, went shopping. Wednesday night we had unity night with our zone. We had a Christmas theme because the couple from Vanua levu will be going home next month and wanted to have one last Christmas in Fiji. The dinner was mean! we had: ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, gravy, and juice. For dessert they had gingerbread cookies, sugar cookies, pumpkin pie, cheesecake, and bread. Man everyone's stomach was killing them that night cuz we don't usually eat sweets like that. I don't know how they got all that food but it must have been super expensive. After dinner we had some games building gingerbread houses, making ornaments to put on our fake tree. Then we had a gift exchange! It was fun, we had to spend up to 5 dollars but nothing more. I bought a Fiji print dish towel lol it was like $3. I got a fijian rugby flag and it looks pretty cool i'll try and sent a picture. So there are only 2 elders flats in that area and so 12 of us elders had to fit in one flat. We put mattresses outside and it was super funny cuz we didn't notice but all the poly's were sleeping outside and all the palagi elders were sleeping inside. We tried inviting them to come outside but they wouldn't lol. Thursday morning we went back to the chapel and the couples made breakfast for us we had: pancakes, ham, eggs, and juice. We had our zone conference then the couple that were leaving gave everyone a fijian flag. Its pretty nice. That night after zone conference everyone goes back to their areas but our boat didn't leave till the next morning so we went to this place called "Captains" to eat burgers and pizza then we went back to the flat, woke up the next morning jumped on the 6am bus back to the wharf and left at about 10 to Taveuni. It was a fun conference. Well i look forward to hearing bout your week and how school is going. Take care i love you guys and think of you everyday. I miss you guys a lot and hope that you are being obedient to mom and dad and helping out as much as you can. Kalouqata!
