Coldwater, MI

Elder Garvin

A good couple of weeks in Agua Fria! (Coldwater)

Hey everyone! Sorry it's been a while, things have been pretty crazy. I love it here in Coldwater, its definitely my type of area, small town and nicer people. We also have a lot of Muslims and Latinos here, so that's fun. I speak a little Spanish sometimes and get to chat with some Muslims (mostly all have come from Yemen). In fact, Coldwater has the highest population of Muslims in Michigan besides Dearborn. Pretty crazy! It's pretty cool we got the opportunity to play soccer with some of them, and so now we go once a week to play with them. They are dang good, they are well known and can beat the Mexicans! They think this white boy is pretty good, so I'll take it!

Anyways, two weeks ago was a good week. We got to Kalamzoo for pday on Monday the 27th of June. We ate hamburgers, played some indoor games like ping pong and then went outside to play water games. Fun times. Then we went on tradeoffs and Elder Janes came here to Coldwater and we had dinner with the Goodmans ( from Snowflake AZ, both originally from Mesa) and that was cool!

We had a great rest of that week teaching a lot of less active lessons and doing some good ole door knockin'! We are becoming a lot better at meeting with the members as well. It's going really well.

This last week was really good though, our best all transfer according to numbers. Comparing to our numbers earlier this transfer, We taught the most investigator lessons, found for the most time with the second most potentials, most new investigators, and most service hours. Not that numbers matter most, but it shows where our time went and we worked really hard and I was dang tired every night so that's a good sign!

Sorry for the short email, time is running thin. Love you all and appreciate all your love and support! Have a great week!
