We started mixing up the way we interact with investigators and members, and it's been super successful! We went on a hike, went to a classical concert, played frisbee, and had a chess class. I really love that we have a mission where we're required to be creative in order to find and teach. All things considered, the laws here in Russia are a huge blessing, and I wouldn't want to serve anywhere else!
We've been making a lot of progress with Mariana, the girl I talked about last week. She is the sister's investigator, but we've been doing a lot to support her and help her start building relationships with the branch again. We all went on a hike on tuesday, and on thursday we went to another one of her concerts, where she introduced us to a really cool friend of hers. We've found that the best way to get referrals from the people we're working with is just to develop a friendship with them and be an example of our religion, and they almost always want to introduce us to their friends! Anyway, Mariana came to church again and the sisters have been doing a lot of lessons with her. She's leaving for 2 months to Vladivostok at the end of April, so we're hoping we can get her ready for baptism before then. But if that doesn't work out, it's all the Lord's timing and his plan!
Rustam found new work a couple weeks ago, which has been good, but it hasn't been allowing him to come to church and he hasn't had a lot of free time. He still is interested and wants to find out more, but it's been hard not being able to meet with him as much as we like. He is trying to find a way to come to church every week, so keep him in your prayers!Love you all! Have a great week!
