Evan had transfers this week and both he and Elder Randall are staying in DeWitt. Evan is happy because he really likes this area...especially now that he no longer lives in a white, frozen tundra! He said he can't get over how green it is.
This week they met with the lady from a media referral who wanted to do some bible study with the missionaries. She has met with the missionaries before. She told Evan, "I can get my nose in the Bible but I can't get it in the Book of Mormon." Needless to say, they will do their best to help her get her nose in the Book of Mormon!
Ethan is still progressing well. They have made some progress with a married couple. The wife is a member but the husband is pretty indifferent but still enjoys their visits. They are meeting regularly with the Sampson family who are doing much better at keeping their appointments...which is a good sign. Sheri and Phil are slow going but love their visits.
They received a referral from some sister missionaries in Florida on a married couple that has recently moved to Evan's area. She is from Australia and is not a member but her husband is. We'll see how things work out with them.
An interesting, but not surprising fact...most of the people who live in his area work for John Deere. Many of whom are engineers.
