سلام!
Lots of driving this week. Also after the snow storm this week, I think I found out why California driver's licenses aren't valid in Germany. Elder Jones is very good at driving in below freezing temperatures and 6+ inches of snow on the roads. We went to Duisburg again to empty an apartment, picked up missionaries in Dortmund and Duisburg, and then drove 3 hours home in the snow to get the missionaries to Frankfurt for their appointments to register in the country. We had plans to send them all in by train, but the storm we got canceled every single train between Frankfurt and Northern Germany so we got up at 4:45 the next morning to deal with that. We also officially took over for the senior couple going home, so we have some meetings lined up next week with a company that we're testing out at request of the Presiding Bishopric for closing and opening some apartments and I feel like I'm in way over my head as a 20 year old volunteer. And to top it all off, I accidentally set our toaster on fire, panicked, couldn't find the fire extinguisher, stole the fire extinguisher from the AP's, and then covered our kitchen in fire extinguisher powder immediately after a zoom meeting with the Mission Presidency in which it was decided that I would be in charge of housing safety and cleanliness for the mission. It's been a week.
But it wasn't all just office chaos. We had a really good lesson with a man named Theo, where we talked about how repentance and coming to Christ is the answer to the spiritual emptiness he's been feeling. And I know that if you also feel empty spiritually, there's a way to fix it. Christ is that way!
