Elder Jacob Orgill

Mud Masks

This last week has been pretty cold and rainy, but we were able to talk with our investigators Williams, Elsie, and their family. They recently moved to the United States from Venezuela. They are super cool, but their story is a sad one. They were friends of a friend of a member in one of the other wards here in Tracy. They are super open to our message, but it is sometimes hard to talk with them because the family that they live with is anti, and won't let us go by to teach them. Usually we meet with them in a park, or at a members house. This last week we really focused with them on the importance of church attendance. It went really well, but they were out of town this weekend in Modesto, so they are going to come to church next week. Umm Other than that, Elder Orgill and I walked around to try to contact some people on the streets. We talked to some people, but they weren't really interested. We found a dude biking and pushing a cart up a hill, that was really interesting. We did talk to some potentials, and one of them said that we could come back, and we are calling him today to set up an appointment. We also talked to one of our less active members brother from Mexico and tried to help him find some work. That was interesting. Umm pretty much another normal week in tracy!!!!
Funny story of the week: Shout out to my parents for the package this last week for Valentine's Day, and especially for the mud mask!!! We started doing mud masks! Since you can't move in the mask, we do it before bed, and just lay down (with the occasional cucumbers to cover our eyes) and do companionship meditation time. "Not only does it smooth the face, it calms the mind."-Elder Orgill quote.
Love you all Bless up!!!! Love you
