This week we got another elder thats going to stay with us for about a month until this transfer is done. Its very different to be in a trio then just a normal companisonship. But at the same time its been pretty fun. Elder Perez is our new comp and is always making jokes about us gringos haha.
This week we had lots of work with the members and our investigators. Im so greatful for the members here because they are just awesome and always are willing to help us missionaries. And thanks to the help of these members, weve started teaching more and this week started teaching some kids from another family. They are all very insterested in the gospel and told us theyd like to be baptized! We are excited for them and hopefully we can start having lessons with the parents as well!
We have also been teaching a man thats from haiti. He speaks french, creole, and a little spanish. We gave him a book of mormon last time and he started reading it and now has a testimony about it! Plus he has been coming to church these past couple weeks as well and really likes it. So we just taught him the plan of salvation this last week and he was super excited about it. The sad thing is that he told us he is moving to mexico this thursday.... we were kind of bummed about that and that we arent going to be able to teach him more. But we helped him find a church in the place hes going to live and he said hes going to keep going!
This week I was reading in 1 nephi and found a verse that i really like. Its 1 nephi 17:13, and there is a phrase that really stood out to me that is "seré vuestra luz", which is "i will be your light". I like this so much because its the lord talking when it says this. I started to think how many times chirst has been the light in my life to help me along the way. And i can testify that this phrase is true. That christ is the light in our lives that we need to follow and help others follow as well. And thanks to the light of our savior, we are able to enjoy this life to the fullest! I know that this is true and that he will always be that light for us to follow.
¡Les amo y espero que tengan mucho felicidad esta semana! Muchas gracias por sus correos y sus experiencias que han compartido conmigo.
