Hard times require patience

My hardest thing so far on the mission has been being patient and being humble. It has been a trial that I have to endure as people here are stubborn and hard-hearted. It drives me insane almost literally as the people who want to listen are only the people of the church. Even then it is tough as people's hearts are failing them. It has made me
come understand that God has his path and that only he can help us stay on that path. He has the power to open our hearts and help us believe.

At the beginning of this week it was tough as I was super tired and I felt a lot of uncertainty of what to do. It came because of certain problems and lack of sleep or rest. I also was suffering from last week as I ate something that didn't sit well with my stomach. I worked so hard that literally I was drained of energy. I really enjoyed this
week although it was crazy. We were able to do Juan's baptismal interview. It was a blessing to have him pass. Thursday was a rough day as we had to go help a district who is struggling. It was good, but there is a lack of faith in the Zone again it is very difficult sometimes to animate them since we are so far away from them.

We were able to have an MLC with Elder Nielsen and Allen from the missionary department. It was a cool experience as we were able to feel his love and receive help. We learn so much about the redeeming power and the enabling power. It was great as I had to understand that I have to learn to endure it has been a repeating cycle that I need to understand it. I have to endure some sort of pain in order to experience some happiness, but it shouldn't be that I have to go to experience the extremes. It is a misconception of my mind that continues to eat at me. It is either one or the other and that is how it should be. I have to get better at just doing things and recognizing that I will never perfect them unless I really truly want to work on it.

I have never had such a great weekend though. We were able to listen to Gladys Knight as we set up for her concert and took it down. We were able to have a lot of success in doing all of this. It was such a nice change of pace for a while. We literally were able to take a rest
from our labors mentally and do physical work. Saturday and Sunday were amazing as we had a baptism. It has been a year since my first baptism. It is a great feeling. We are hoping to find more people to teach and baptize. It has been a fabulous weekend ending in a baptism.
