This was quite the week! We did a lot of service!! There is still a lot of flooding happening!
Earlier in the week we helped Nevetta move. She is a member who has started coming back to church. she is super cool. Her two kids are not members and she really wants them to come to church as well so we are working with them.
Later on we helped Sister Quinn at her house. She is leaving on a mission soon and needed a bunch of help cleaning out her house to sell it. There is a river behind her house that is way flooded. I will send pics of it.
We also helped with another move. last week we helped them out because their house was flooding, but they are moving out now.
On Saturday we went and helped sandbag! There is an entire street that is basically going to be underwater here in Hudson, so there was a ton of people in the community that were there helping. They say that the river is going to come up 9 feet! We were working alongside a couple of really cool guys. one of them owns a collision repair place and has a super nice duramax. And he also was in st George like a week ago so we had a really good talk with him!!
Sunday Jody came to church!! It was super cool to have him there and the members did a great job of helping him feel really welcome! On Tuesday we are going to meet with him and talk about baptism.
So for a spiritual thought, there is something I have really come to realize on my mission. I may have mentioned it before, but it has been on my mind again this morning. And that is that nothing will change our lives unless we let it. Like coming on a mission. I have realized that the mission will only change someone if they let it. And the gospel will only change your life if you let it. And most of all, The Savior can only change you If you let him! So I just want to invite you to ponder that thought and see how you can let Him change your life!!
