Transfers!!
Hows it going?? It was another awesome week here in Odessa and tons of free Wingstop!
So..... we got transfer news. Elder Harward is staying a 5th transfer here in Odessa and gets to stay with me and I am so happy! He is such a stud and we get along so well. We make a great team. I am so so excited to continue to work with him!
This week flew by. We went on emergency exchanges with Elder Cella and Elder Ryden to help them out. It was a good time with Elder Cella and we had an awesome talk on the Atonement of Jesus Christ. It is amazing how real and how life changing the effects the the Atonement can have in our lives. I know that it works and allows us to move on from past mistakes spotless!!
Something wild happened after our night prayers and we both got in bed. Outta no where, our window blew up with lights. I think I cracked a joke like, "Bruh listen for the trumpets, I think the second coming is here. I hope we are ready!" I didn't have my glasses on and we both looked out and it looked like a huge hummer was in our ghetto alley. A cop was clearing the area with her pistol drawn and then started trying to get fingerprints off a car. She must've seen or heard us cuz she kept shinning her spot light on us and put her car light bar on us. It was wild! Turns out the car was stolen and she broke into it and started investigating. We stayed up watching because there were tow trucks and it was insanity outside. All in all a fun experience to see and be a part of.
I wanted to share a cool quote I found while studying the Book of Mormon with the Institute manual. I've been studying alot about revelation and how to be more in tune with the promptings we receive. It says, "I have come to know that inspiration comes more as a feeling than as a sound. Some answers will come from reading the scriptures, some from hearing speakers. And, occasionally, when it is important, some will come by very direct and powerful inspiration. The promptings will be clear and unmistakable" -Boyd K Packer. That's a super cool insight and I also learned that when we follow the feelings in out hearts, then we qualify for the revelation in our minds. I love that so much and as we try to be the best that we can be and follow every good feeling and prompting we receive, we will qualify for more direct and specific instruction.
