Hey everyone,
Hope things are going great! I wanted to say thanks again so much for all of the Bday wishes, love you all!!
Just wanted to share a little experience from the week. It's been tons of planning and getting ready for Zone Conference tomorrow. We had a huge miracle! On Tuesday we found a guy named Carlos. He's 18 and got here 2 months ago from Chihuahua, Mexico. He speaks the slang so it's been sick to talk to him. It was a rough couple of lessons with him since Elder Harward and I both haven't spoken in a long time. He loved it all!! They canceled church again here in Odessa, but the Spanish ward decided to have a devotional. Carlos joined the zoom and he talked about it to us for the rest of the day. He loves the church and the standards already! He is such a stud and an amazing guy! Sadly we have to pass him off to the Spanish Elders, but we are excited to see his progress!
Little spiritual thought: I've been studying the Christlike attribute Charity. It is something I lack and really want to develop. I ran across this quote and I love it! Joseph B Wirthlin said that "kindness is the essence of a celestial life. Kindness is how a Christlike person treats others. Kindness should permeate all of our words and actions at work, at school, at church, and especially in our homes". Its a super powerful insight. Kindness and putting others first is a celestial life. That's the end goal. With the little thoughts, actions, and uplifting comments to the people we rub shoulders with is how we apply the gospel and elevate our life styles.
I love this gospel and know it is true!! I love you all and if there's anything I can do to help out, I'd love to hear from you!!
