Julio's Baptism

This week we had a baptism. His name is Julio and he has been listening to the missionaries for about 3 years, but never really went to church (Pentecostal Methodist doesn't count). In his service it was me, Elder Henriksen our district leader and the two other Elders from Cauquenes (we went on an exchange because we had an activity in the church and my companion went to that instead). It was still super awesome. But getting him to church the next day to be confirmed was quite the challenge. We found him sitting on the steps next to the terminal and he didn't want to come to church, so we tried everything, including cookies. When the cookies didn't seem to be working I really tried testifying to him that he needed to go to church to be confirmed. Right then he got thirsty, got up, asked for a cup of water from the restaurant next door and we went to church. He was then confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

There wasn't any rain this week but it was freezing. I also had an exchange with one of the assistants, who was in a huge exchange with the Zone Leaders. We freaking killed it in Quirihue. The thing that I learned is that we shouldn't be afraid to tell people the truth, even if it's hard and they might get offended. You just gotta tell them so they know the consequences of their choices.

Thanks for the support and love. Love you bye.
