Elder Theo No Fear Dawson

What????? An E-mail?????

Today is day 42 and I have achieved something great.

I have worn a different tie everyday to the CCM.
SO today is actually my P-day for the week because I leave for the airport in 4 hours. A quick update.

I have underslept the past two days because someone decided to throw a party until 4am and blare loud music right outside the walls. That was Saturday. Today I woke up at 1:30am because one of our roomates, Elder Vick had to be at reception at 2 am and his companion Elder Hendrix was leaving at 3:30am. So I slept a broken up 5 hours today. I hope I sleep a lot on the plane.

We had Hermana Burton (I misspelled that) from the Relief Society presidency come speak to us and it was one of the most awesome devotionals ever. She told us that we just had to keep trying and keep working and don't get discouraged which is important in this work.

It's kind of sad to leave the CCM but I'm so excited to go out in the field. My testimony has grown so much and I can't wait for it to grow a lot more and I'm so excited to teach the people there. But I still have a lot more to learn.

This week I struggled a little bit because I felt like I wasn't making much progress in anything, Spanish, my testimony, my overeating skills (I gave up on that). But then I looked back at my first days here in the CCM. I knew no Spanish. I don't normally like going out of my way to talk to people. But then I looked at how far I've come in 6 weeks. I'm nowhere near fluent, and my testimony is nowhere where I think it should be. But I'm not worried. If I live worthily and be exactly obedient and decide to open my mouth I know that the Lord will bless me with the strength and words I need. The sooner that I learn to open my mouth and speak to people about the Gospel the easier it will be to share. I'm so grateful for this opportunity to share the Gospel. I know that the Gospel is true. It is the same Church that Jesus Christ organized during his ministry and he still leads this church through a prophet. Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon through the power of God and it is the keystone to our religion.
