So this week was a little slow but I do have some awesome, awesome stories to tell.
1) On Tuesday we went to a birthday party for someone we never met. She is a missionary from Coelemu serving in Brazil. Her family is not members but they invited us over to their house to celebrate by eating lots and lots of bread and butter, Bread and manejar (its kind of like straight caramel), bread cheese and ham, cake, cookies and things like that. It was a blast and I took pictures so thats dope
2) The assistents were in our area to help us put people on track for baptism. One of the asisstents is my old zone leader back when I was a baby being trained by my father. We were walking (we were on divisons) and I was trying to explain the situation of the family to him and he told me that my Spanish had improved. Speaking of my father I talked to him that same day. He also said that my Spanish has improved a lot. Its great because in the 11 weeks I have had in the mission field, while I'm no native, others have seen my improvement.
3) Speaking of improvement I gave a talk on Sunday. I think it was really short but it was huge step up for me. This is a testament that I'm definitely growing up in the mission.
I would also like to bear testimony that Russell M. Nielson is the Prophet of God on the Earth. He is the only one that can receive divine revelation for the people on this Earth. This is the true church and I'm so happy to be on a mission.
Alma 26:27-28 is the scripture that needs to be on my plaque
27 Now when our hearts were depressed, and we were about to turn back, behold, the Lord comforted us, and said: Go amongst thy brethren, the Lamanites, and bear with patience thine afflictions, and I will give unto you success.
28 And now behold, we have come, and been forth amongst them; and we have been patient in our sufferings, and we have suffered every privation; yea, we have traveled from house to house, relying upon the mercies of the world—not upon the mercies of the world alone but upon the mercies of God.
