Best decision in my life to come down here to Republica de Dominicana
Hola, so this week was awesome! Santo was baptized! It was a great blessing! Santo is a 24-year-old man that has some learning disabilities. I have been teaching him a long time and he had been progressing. He is awesome! I am really happy for him. Now we just got to help the members help him. That’s the biggest thing when you have a convert. Also, another cool thing is the other Elders here in Dajabon had a baptism. So here in Dajabon we had two baptisms which was awesome! It was really cool too because on Sunday a ton of non-actives came that I have never seen. We are seeing a lot of blessings right now in Dajabon. So now me and Elder Borja are focused on helping people to get ready to be baptized in November. We have some good investigators right now, but a lot of them need to get married. Haha! That happens here a lot. My Spanish has been improving a lot. We all talked in church this Sunday and usually in my talks I have a hard time speaking. But this time I felt more confident in my Spanish which is good. The mission is flying right now. It is kind of scaring me. Like we are almost to Halloween and high school football is starting playoffs soon. Things are crazy! Haha! I love the mission. I have learned so much here. It has been one of my best decisions in my life to come down here to Republica de Dominicana. I love my Savior and I love his gospel. As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints we have the blessing to live the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know this is Jesus Christ’s church. He lives and guides his church in today’s world. I know the Book of Mormon is true. As we read the Spirit testifies the truth of it. I love my Heavenly Father and this amazing plan he has for me and all of you. He really is our father and we are his children. Always remember that you are a child of God.
Love you all,
Elder Walker
