The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

Hola, this week was awesome! Right now we are having a lot of success in Dajabon. We are working more effectively. The key to having success in the mission is be obedient and follow the rules and use the time you are given as a missionary effectively. As we have been doing that here we have been having more success. This week we had a zone conference and wow it was awesome. President talked to us about the importance of baptisms and the importance of our responsibility to baptize people and help them return to Heavenly Father. He showed us all the numbers of the three missions and how many baptisms they have had in the last couple of months. Our mission had the least by far. It wasn’t even close. And the sad thing is that we have more missionaries then the other missions. So all the missionaries made a goal to have one baptism this month. If we do this according to our plan we will have 100 baptisms this month when usually we are having 45 baptisms. We have an investigator name Santo that we are hoping is ready for baptism. I know that President was guided by the Lord in our Zone Conference. And then a couple days later we had the amazing opportunity to learn from our beloved Prophet and his apostles. Wow what great messages we heard. I loved how the theme was the importance of taking Jesus Christ’s name and the importance of his name. He is our savior. He died for us and through him we can be healed. He has a church today named The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In D&C 115 he named his church. He is the head of the church. He is our savior. He lives and guides us today through a living prophet. Also, Haiti had an earth quake two times this past week. We felt both of them a little but no damage was done here. In Haiti people died which was sad. I have never witnessed an earthquake. They are super weird. We were teaching a lesson and I could feel the ground moving and then everyone said that we had to get out of the house. It all happened so fast.
Love you,
Elder Walker
