Hola, this week was awesome! But a lot of traveling! First, I finally met President and Sister Cowan. They are so cool. So when I say we traveled a lot this is what I mean - so Tuesday we went to Naverette to visit the Cowans at the Zone Conference. So that’s a two and half hour trip there and back. On Wednesday we had to travel to Santiago which is like a three hour trip. The next day Thursday we had to travel to Santo Domingo so I could receive my residential card. That was about 2 and half hours there and back. And then after that we had to go back to Dajabon which was another 3 hours. Haha! So let’s just say this week was an adventure. Haha! I celebrated July 4th a little with Elder Peterson. He gave me an American tie I could show off to the world. It was awesome. Today Pday was an adventure also. We went to this way famous market here in Dajabon. It’s insane. There are a ton of Haitians just selling everywhere. So it’s interesting, they open up the border on Monday and Friday and the Haitians can sell in this market place until like 6 pm. It’s crazy. Haha! I bought some ties because they are so cheap. Also we were walking and a Haitian guy named Jimmy started talking to me about how he always crosses the border and no one even really cares. It was a little shocking for me to hear. But he was awesome. He was telling us how he was baptized in the church when he was younger. It was an eventful week for sure.
Love you,
Elder Walker
