My testimony gets stronger every day

Hola, this week was awesome! It is so hot right now! Haha! And I may have had a sore throat this week, but I’m feeling a lot better so don’t worry about that. This week we had interviews with President. We didn’t talk for that much because he didn’t want to hurt my throat. Haha! The good thing is his wife gave me medicine so it feels a lot better. This week has been awesome for the missionary work here also in Villa Gonzalez. Especially Saturday and yesterday. Those days were very cool. Saturday night we had splits with the members. It was awesome. I went with the president of the Elders Quorum named Ericson. He is awesome. He served a mission in Honduras so he knows his stuff when it comes to teaching. It was really cool. We taught a non member about the importance of coming to church. And after we taught him Ericson showed me some of his friends or in other words references so it went really well. Another thing is when we were in the last lesson the lights went out in the whole city. So that was fun. Haha! Yesterday was awesome. When me and Elder Thomas walked into church we both just had a smile on our faces because there was about 70 people there. Usually there are only 30. We had 5 investigators come and Alex went to church in Santiago, so technically 6 investigators went to church and the non active that me and Ericson taught also came to church so that made me really happy. I am closer with the members here then I was in Gurabo, so that is pretty cool to start getting to know everyone. Really all the people in Villa Gonzalez I know a lot more. It’s probably because my Spanish is getting better as I get farther in the mission. I have a testimony of the truthfulness of this Church we have in our day named the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or in other words the Lord’s Kingdom. Right now is the time to act. We need to make sure we follow the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ every day. If we do so we will have happiness in our lives and return to our Heavenly Father. But we also need to remember it is possible only though our Savior Jesus Christ and his infinite atonement. I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon. Every night I read and I learn something new. It has got to the point where I can’t sleep without reading a little out of the Book of Mormon. I am grateful for the opportunity I have had here. I really can’t explain in words how much I have changed, especially spiritually. One person told me here in the mission, he said Elder Walker do you know what a mission is designed for? And I said to bring others to come unto Christ. But he said something else and it has changed my mission. He said a mission is designed to be hard, but through those hard experiences we grow spiritually. Our testimony grows and we change. As I have looked at the mission this way I have noticed that my testimony gets stronger every day. I love you all and I am grateful for all the love you guys have given me through emails and even notes I have received. Thank you to the Gardners. I received your notes. And thanks Mom for the packages you sent.
Love you,
Elder Walker
