Hello! We talked yesterday so it doesn't seem like I have a ton of things to write about haha. I love you guys so much! So I guess I already told your guys about the car tire on the way down to the meeting but I don't really have much else to write about that.
This week I did go on exchange with the Flower Mound 5th elders and I was in their area with Elder Saluone (sal-you-own-ay), he is a Samoan from Orem and is really awesome haha! We talked a lot and we taught a lot. That is one thing that I am loving about this area, we are starting to teach a ton of people and it is so great because that is what I love doing! Teaching! We taught a guy names Kevin on the streets that was actually involved in the conversation, something that you don't normally get here. He was asking things about the Book of Mormon and other aspects of our beliefs and it was pretty great! He was a scientologist so I got to learn about that as well.
I don't really have a ton of other stuff to write about... Yall heard most of it yesterday!
Oh except for this. We did a hot wing challenge at Buffalo Wild Wings. 12 Wings with their hottest sauce (ghost pepper sauce) and you need to eat them in 6 minutes! I got 8 in 5 minutes but I knew that I wasn't going to get the last four so I stopped. It was a memory that I will always have haha. Elder Griffin actually ate all 12 in 6 minutes so it was really great haha! That was fun. It hurt like crazy but it was fun haha. There were four of us and awe all wen into the bathroom after and just washed out our mouths and wiped out faces. It was great! (video is on icloud)
I am grateful for Mom and everything that she has done for us over the years and will continue to do. Mothers have always been the source of great support to men and women everywhere and all throughout time. Mary the mother of Jesus, Emma Smith, Sariah Nephi's mother, the mothers of the stripling warriors and many other women both in the scriptures and in secular history. BEing called to be a mother is not an easy calling as I can imagine nor is it one that a woman can be released of; it is a sacred, priceless and eternal calling. Only the home can compare in sacredness to the temples of God. That puts a new spin on "homemaker" or "stay at home mom."
The women in our lives literally prepare us for life in the eternities. I am so grateful for the wonderful mother that I have that sacrifices so much so that I do not go without. I am grateful for all of the little conversations that I have had with her, all of the nights that I would vent to her. I know that the gospel is true. Jesus Christ is our Savior because of the example that he was and is as well as his Atonement in the Garden of Gethsemane. I love him so much for all that he has done for me already which is a lot. I love the Book of Mormon and I love you guys!
Love, your missionary son an brother, Elder Jefferies
