Week 7: The Secret of Har-Ber

Hey Everybody! Elder Arnold here again! No cop stories this week. Lol.

Last Monday: Rode 4 miles in the freezing cold on bikes to visit a family. Elder Dike and Elder Christensen picked us up and took us back to the apartment. We did transfers at like 10pm and I went with Elder Dike to Fayetteville.

Tuesday: Me and Elder Dike were in the Fayetteville YSA ward. We studied in the University of Arkansas for a while. We had lessons which were cool. We did a Restoration Booth which basically explains why the church was set up and how the Bible and Book of Mormon work together to testify of Jesus Christ. For anyone that is not a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I'm happy to answer any questions you may have about the church or the Book of Mormon. We did that till 4:45. We went to the YSA building and prepped some chicken. We had another lesson at 5:15. After that we cooked Chicken and Rice. We then played pool in the basement. I won. We did a Facebook activity. We went tracting to an apartment complex and a black man named Jean answered the door. He told us that his Brother is having very very bad medical problems and that his parents are dead. He has no kids and got mistreated by his own family. He had just prayed to God to see if he was still there. He had lost all Hope and was crying so much. He said we knocked on his door right before he was about self harm. We shared some scriptures from the Book of Mormon. We gave him a copy and was a really good experience being able to see firsthand the peace that the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings to people that are struggling in this world.

Wednesday: First District council. We figured out the Secret of Har-Ber. Its whiteboard tracting. It works amazing for my missionary friends out there. We had leftover Shepherd's pie from Monday. We went tracting at the complex next to us which was good. A lady let us In and fed us Banana bread. We met with Jason again which did ok.

Thursday: We helped move some food items. Biked to Sam's Club and going to do The Book of Mormon Experiment on February 21 and 22nd.We biked 3 more miles to the Samaritan Shop and offered to do community service there. We tracted a nearby Street. Contacted Mark Brand and having dinner with his family this Friday. Biked like 10 miles today.

Friday: helped a family move and afterwards they took us to eat at a Mexican Restaurant. Talked with Joe and Jill and they referred their neighbor and we're still teaching them! We met the lady and get to visit her tomorrow. Met some less active members and ones roommate wants to take lessons in Spanish with us and the Spanish Elders.

Saturday: Visited Richard Bensing and he has a talk soon but he had to agree to not cuss on the stand. Lol. That oughta be interesting. Visited Glen Cook and hes progressing! Met the Gardner family who is pretty cool! Met Otto at McDonald's but he had to go so we got food and talked to a family at a nearby table.

Sunday: Had Church. Had MCM at 12:30. Went tracting afterwards and set some return appointments!
