Week 19

Hey Everyone!

This week has been great. We have been working hard and we have been working to bring souls unto Christ. Thank you all for your continual prayers and concern for Ecuador and me.

Tuesday we taught a man named Alexi Polo. He is great. He wants to change and he wants to become better. We explained to him that this change will come through reading the scriptures, praying and attending church. He is understanding little by little. Later we found a lady named Jauna Canales. She has been searching for the true church for a long time but feels like they are all wrong. We shared James 1:5 with her and she really liked it. We also taught a Family named Family Bravo. They have listened to the missionaries before but moved cities. I have high hopes for them.

Wednesday we taught Areli and she told us that should would be baptized if she could attend church. For special circumstances, it is hard for her. We invited her to the other ward because it was easier and she accepted. Possibly she will be baptized in January! Later we taught Eloy. We taught him Lesson 3 and he already knows all the answers to the questions. He is great. His baptism should happen next week if all goes well.

Thursday we taught a man named Juan Carlos. He is an American citizen that is living here in Ecuador. He has had a really rough past and is trying to get closer to God. We invited him to church and he said that he will come! Later we taught a man named Fernando Sanchez. He is a reference from a recent convert. He tells us that he wants to be baptized. He said that he wants to learn the true doctrine. We set a goal for 15 of January.

Friday we taught Irvin. He talked a lot like usual but what is great is that he is understanding really well what we teach him. We also invited his daughter and grandson to listen to our lesson. They were really interested and had lots of questions for us which was awesome.

Saturday was a little hard. We weren't able to teach anyone because all our appointments fell through. It was a little disappointing but we carried on. We had an activity where we were advertising an event that the three Guayaquil Missions are coming together to plan. We passed out many flyers for it. I have high hopes for the amount of investigators we will have because of it.

Sunday we had a meeting for the Luz de las Naciones (Light the World). We were informed of many details of it. They also helping us see the potential of the stake and also helped us realize how lucky we are to be in this Ward
