This week has been a week of trials. I have begged the Lord that he give trials that I may grow and be stronger in order to help others. He gave me them. I can´t tell all of them but several are about the sector. Only one of our investigators could received us this week and the rest for their own reasons have not been able to. Nor the members have been in their houses. We have had to walk around a lot not being able to enter into the houses.
One of the highlights of the week was our lesson with Eduardo. We have been trying to focus more on the Book of Mormon. As we talked with him he said he had felt a goodness while reading the Book of Mormon and then told us, "Maybe God has already answered my prayers." We invited him to ask God if that was his answer. He said he would and also told us that we would continue to read the Book of Mormon.
We have a new bishopric and they are even more excited to work. We are going to do a huge activity in the ward called "Capilla Abierta". It is a open house of our chapel and we are committing all the members in the ward to bring families to come. We are working hard towards that. We have a great hope that we have a big turnout.
I feel that I need to bear my testimony. I know that God loves us and that we are his children. We cannot comprehend how much he loves us. His perfect son was sent to Earth and taught us the way, his gospel, and even has ransomed his life that we may be clean and pure when we are presented before the Father. I know that he sends us prophets we teach us and guide us throughout our life. They remind us of our dependence we have on the Lord. I know that Russel M Nelson is a prophet of God and I sustain him and am anxious to hear what the Lord has told him in this next General Conference. I know that the Priesthood is the power of God. I know we can bless the lives of others as it is maintained upon the principles of righteousness. I know that we have Leaders, Local and General, that have been called by God to labor in his work and as we listen to their council and obey even when we don´t understand why that we are blessed and the work of the Lord progresses. I know that we have a wonderful tool that we can use to be sanctified which is the Book of Mormon. The spirit can and will speak to us as we read the Book of Mormon. It will help us be converted to the Lord and to honor our covenants or promises we have made to the Lord. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and he was called to the Lord´s work to restore important truths to the Earth along with the Lord´s authority and his church with the purpose that one day we may return to our Heavenly Fathers presence clean from sin. I know the Lord purifies us through trails and that we can trust in him that they are for our good and not for our punishment. I know these things to be true and say them in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
