Hey everyone,

This week was good. I learned a lot. It was a week of learning as well as experience.

We visited a man named Eduardo Guzmán. We have already taught him about the Restoration of the gospel and how to know if this is the true church. We showed up for the appointment and he wasn't there. We were a little disappointed because he is promising. I felt that we need to go to a different place to look for a recent convert. We did and on our way there we found Eduardo! We were able to teach about his question. He said he has noticed how lots of members of our church have a peace about them. He said he would like to have that same peace. We explained how members receive that peace every week as they come and partake of the Sacrament because they receive the Holy Ghost. We explained that we renew sacred covenants with our Heavenly Father that we had committed to complete when we are baptized. We invited him to be baptized and he accepted to prepare to be baptized the 10th of March.

We have brought an investigator to church twice now and his name is Luis. He is such a happy guy and loves our visits. He lives alone and wants to come unto Christ. He thanks us every time for helping him come unto Christ and to walk in his ways. He accepted to be baptized the 10th of March as well.

We are visiting a investigator named Juan de la Cuadra. He is such a humble guy and has desires to follow God and find his church. The problem he has had is that he can´t remember very well from an operation that he had had from having Cancer. The doctors also have left a hole in his side from the operation. It leaks some brown and green liquid.

We had a baptism this week! Manuel got baptized. It was an awesome baptism. He had asked me to baptize him. I gratefully did so. It was a wonderful baptism. It happened this past Friday. He didn't come to church this Sunday which was sad. There was one member in particular that accused us of pressuring him and tried to counsel us saying that we shouldn't baptize on any other day of the week unless it is Saturday. In the past I would have let him roll over me but I didn't this time. I explained to him that the rule he had made up doesn't exist anywhere and that we have received instruction from our President not to limit it to just Saturday. He persisted and so did I. It is sad to see that members become a road block to the investigators not letting them receive the blessings of the Atonement.

I love my Savior. I am learning that to follow him is a daily choice. That as we search to put him in the center of our life each day that it offers us peace. That we need not put our confidence or our loyalty in the men of this world but better yet that we must put our confidence and loyalty in God and his word. I know that this is the true Church. I know that Our Heavenly Father loves us and wants to make so much more of us than we can imagine. I know He is holy and is the source of all Goodness. I know he gives us light that we might bless others. If and when we reach towards our fellow brethren and help them to come to a knowledge of our Savior and teach them to walk in his ways our Father in Heaven rejoices.
